Here she is, what a beauty. The juice that started it all, the OG FunkSauce. Pearl Necklace was the juice I made for myself to help me afford my 30mL-a-day juice needs. It took me nearly three months to nail this one and once I did, I was hooked. I brought it to a few vapemeets around the area, and the dudes and dudettes who tried it asked me to make them some. It kept growing from there, all word of mouth until I made a small forum post. Then it exploded…I wasn’t ready. Within a month or two I was selling thousands of bottles a month!

The Taste

Pearl Necklace is a very creamy blend of Coconut, Banana and Vanilla Cream, with a hint of very mild spices. Now, before you tell me you don’t like banana or coconut (everyone loves Vanilla Cream, right?) – I don’t either, at least not in eliquid. I made Pearl Necklace as a challenge to myself, to try and conquer the then-rampant ‘chemically’ and overpowering Banana and Coconut flavours. I figured that if I could nail it, I might have what it takes to ‘DIY’ forever. I went through so many revisions and I knew as soon as I tried the final one, she was done.

The thing about Pearl Necklace is that it gets ridiculously good with steeping – I mean it becomes a whole different juice. Freshly made it’s just like a sweet creamy cocktail and tastes pretty much like what you’d expect, but better. Give it a month though, and its colour will slowly develop to a dark pink, and after the month, rich brown. When your Pearls look like this, they’ll taste much creamier and you actually won’t be able to tell that there’s coconut or banana in it at all- of course you will, because I just told you. But still, it so creamy and certainly unique.
